Spas

Dolenjska has a rich tradition of spas and thermal water. There are three health resorts on the Krka and Sava rivers where you can relax. Dolenjske Toplice offers a modern wellness centre with indoor and outdoor pools; at Šmarješke Toplice, in addition to indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, massages and relaxation baths, you can enjoy an old outdoor wooden pool.

Thermal springs also rise in the Posavje, which is a kind of boundary with Štajerska on the left bank of the Sava and Dolenjska on the right bank, with the population centres being Krško and Brežice.  The Terme Čatež thermal riviera is very close by, whose pools and water slides assure fun in the water for every generation.
