In the shelter of his mighty walls there is one of the largest Slovenian galleries – the Božidar Jakac Art Museum, which invites you to see the 9 permanent exhibitions of artists: Božidar Jakac, France and Tone Kralj, Zoran Didak, Janez Boljka, Bogdan Borčić, France Gorše and Jože Gorjup and the brilliant Pleterske a collection of European painters, which is owned by the nearby Pleterje Carthusian Monastery. Among the works that emerged from  17th to 19th century, a series of apostles appeared, originally created in the workshop of Flemish master Anthony Van Dyck. Among the rooms dedicated to occasional exhibitions of top Slovenian and foreign authors, the unique ambience of the former monastery church stands out and Lamut’s Art Salon in the former ministerial mansion in the old part of the town. Nearby the gallery invites you to the romantic walk of the Forma Viva sculpture park, featuring more than 100 sculptures, created at the International Forma Viva sculpture symposium. Sculptures moulding by artists are made from oak wood, typical for this part of Slovenia.

After the gallery tour you are invited to a unique ambience of the Cviček cellar with 34 large oak barrels, where you with a glass of indigenous wine cviček  learn the story of the vineyard tradition of the place.

The package for 2 persons includes: accommodation in a double room standard, self-service breakfast (continental), an entrace fee to the Božidar Jakac Art  Museum (1x for 2 persons together  in time of staying),  a glass of cviček, free parking and free WiFi. Guided tour around  the town is possible with additional charge – please ask us for a price of a tour guide.

Terms and conditions

Package is available upon prior reservation and subject to availability of the villa’s capacity. We recommend reservation at least one week prior arrival. The Art Museum is closed on Monday, January  1st, November  1st, December 25th.  Please ask us for a surcharge for additional night.

A minimum stay of 1 night, maximum 2 nights.

The tourist & promotional tax 1.50 EUR per person per night is not included in a package and room price.
